What are Reasons of Mental illness?
Mental illness is defined as “facing severe and distressing psychological symptoms to such an extent that normal functioning gets too disturb.” Mental illness is caused by stress, violence, homelessness, poverty, unemployment, social isolation, low self-esteem, anger.
Common Signs of Mental illness
Some of the signs are:
- Lack of interest in activities that you normally enjoy to do
- Feeling worried
- Constantly being in bad mood
- Insomnia , having trouble sleeping

What happens in the Brain?
Scientists who study Mental illness believe an imbalance in brain chemicals that lead to the development of many disorders. Researchers suspect that this imbalance affects the brain’s ability to move a message from neuron to neuron and for the brain’s wiring to function normally. As a result of these changes, the brain may not communicate properly with the body, and a person may begin to show signs of Mental illness.

Psychotherapy – Cure of Mental Illness
Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy. Psychotherapy involves talking about your condition and related issues with a Mental Health provider. During psychotherapy, you learn about your condition and your moods, feelings, thoughts and behavior. With proper counseling, you can learn coping and stress management skills.
There are many types of psychotherapy, each with its own approach to improving your Mental Health. Psychotherapy often can be successfully completed in a few months, but in some cases, long-term treatment may be needed. It can take place one-on-one, in a group or with family members.
Brain – Stimulation Treatments
Brain-stimulation treatments are often used for depression and other Mental Health disorders. They're generally implemented for situations in which medications and psychotherapy does’t work. They include electroconvulsive therapy, vagus nerve stimulation and an experimental treatment called deep brain stimulation.
